Philip Weigel
Co-Owner
Phil began doing CrossFit in the winter of 2007. He was looking to gain strength and add some muscle mass without sacrificing speed, endurance or agility. CrossFit fit the bill and he was instantly hooked. A year later he completed his Level 1 course and started coaching at SPC CrossFit. He was lucky enough to be a participant at the 2008 CrossFit Games and the 2013 Central Regional Competition as well as several local competitions. The drive to compete and see others find the very best of themselves in competition, led him to be part of the leadership team for the staff that runs the CrossFit Games.
In 2013, Phil was offered a position coaching at PHYT CLE Athletics and he’s been spreading the good word of fitness in Cleveland ever since! “I coach others because I want to help them find that passion to push for change. We all have it in us to do great things and I love seeing the sense of accomplishment on peoples faces when they do something for the first time and realize they are capable of so much more!”
